| Our Fifteenth-Century parish church is rated one of the hundred most beautiful in Britain. Many more people than its regular congregation value it as an essential part of Crewkerne’s heritage. The Friends exist to help with the high costs of major repairs or improvements. The nave roof was recently found to be near collapse, due to decayed timbers. Its renewal should be complete by the end of April, at a cost of £130,000. We are now raising money for the chancel roof, whose thinning lead dates from 1708. The Friends also have an enjoyable programme of social events, concerts, etc. Please see our website for further details and information on joining the Friends. |
